Breadfarm Artisan Bakery - Chocolate Decadence
Breadfarm was our choice for our first artisan spotlight because of their chocolate shortbread cookie that is absolutely irresistible! Rich dark chocolatey buttery goodness with the occasional crunch of organic cocoa nibs. If you love chocolate, these Cocoa Nib Cookies are a “must try”. The artisans behind this decadent treat are Scott Mangold & Renee Bourgault who opened their artisan bakery in 2003. The Breadfarm bakery is located in a small village of Edison in the Skagit Valley in the State of Washington. The husband and wife team are committed to sustainable, quality, and flavorful food production and use organic ingredients, many of which are local to create their breads and baked goods. Offerings include an assortment of breads such as Chuckanut Multigrain, Farmer Bread, Baker White, Samish River Potato Bread and Bow Hill Baguette as well as crostini, crackers, biscotti, shortbread cookies and various pastries....If you’re lucky enough to be in the area stop in! There really is nothing better than the smell and taste of fresh bread (and baked goods, of course)!You can also find the Cocoa Nib Cookies in some of our organic gift offerings!
